Description
Inspired by Rodin’s “The Thinker” this roughout of a head and hand is a great way to refine your techniques for carving the two most important parts of the human figure.
Example photos show Dylan’s original clay model of this design and a work in progress carving.
Included with the roughout are full size reference photos of the clay model and of the work in progress version.
Roughout measures 3 1/2″ wide by 12″ tall by 4 3/8″ thick. Each rough-out is made from northern basswood and contain minor flaws such as pin knots or brown streaks.
